What water-info.org is

water-info.org is an independent industry information platform covering the UAE and GCC water sector. We publish company rankings and profiles for bottled water brands and gallon delivery operators, using publicly available data, company submissions, and industry research. The platform is operated by Asmits Technologies. We are not a government body, not a safety regulator, and not affiliated with any water brand, distributor, or trade association.

How rankings work

Every overall score is a weighted composite of six factors. Each factor is scored from 0 to 100 based on the evidence available for that company, then combined using the weights below.

  • 20%
    Water Quality
TDS, pH, mineral content vs reference ranges
  • 20%
    Delivery Reliability
    On-time delivery, supply consistency
  • 20%
    Transparency
Public disclosure of testing and sourcing
  • 20%
    Business Legitimacy
    Trade licence, certifications, longevity
  • 10%
    Customer Service
    Response time, complaint handling
  • 10%
    Hygiene & Technology
    Bottling and refill process standards

A company is only assigned an overall score once all six factors can be reasonably evidenced. Companies without sufficient evidence are shown as "Not yet rated" rather than penalised with a low score.

How data is collected

Data comes from three sources: public records (trade licences, regulatory publications, court records), company submissions (information and water quality reports submitted through our submission form), and label data(TDS, pH, mineral content as printed by the manufacturer). Each company profile shows the data source attached to its quality numbers.

What this site does not do

We do not run paid placements, sponsored rankings, or "featured company" promotions. Companies cannot pay to be added, re-ranked, or removed. We do not issue safety certifications, and we do not replace official UAE drinking water safety standards set by ESMA, Dubai Municipality, or other competent authorities. Our rankings are descriptive industry intelligence, not regulatory determinations.

Relationship to UAE regulatory bodies

water-info.org supports and references the UAE regulatory framework. Drinking water quality in the UAE is regulated by ESMA (now under MoIAT) and emirate-level authorities including Dubai Municipality. For official drinking water safety guidance, refer to those bodies. Our role is to organise publicly available industry information so consumers and businesses can make informed comparisons between operators.
