About & methodology
What is water-info.org
water-info.org is an Independent consumer information resource tracking publicly available drinking water quality data for brands sold in the United Arab Emirates and the wider GCC. It is not affiliated with any water brand, distributor, or government agency.
How we collect data
Data is compiled from three primary sources: product labels (TDS and mineral content as printed by the manufacturer), public records from UAE municipality water-quality publications, and government reports from ESMA and equivalent GCC regulators. Periodic lab testing is conducted on random retail samples and on refilled gallon operators. Each row in the data table cites its source.
Scoring methodology
The composite score (0–100) weights three factors: TDS within the 50–300 ppm ideal range, pH within 6.5–8.5, and consistency across reporting periods. For refilled gallon operators, hygiene-process and microbial test results carry additional weight. Scores are descriptive, not a health endorsement. A higher score means the brand's published and tested data falls closer to widely accepted potable-water reference ranges.
What we do not do
water-info.org carries no advertising, accepts no sponsorship, and has no commercial relationship with any brand listed on this site. We do not sell leads, run paid placements, accept "featured brand" payments, or coordinate content with manufacturers, distributors, or trade associations. Brands cannot pay to be added, removed, or re-ranked. The word Independent is used deliberately.
